The Comprehensive Interventional Management of Acute or Chronic Iliofemoral Venous Thrombosis<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

　　Objective: To evaluate the clinical feasibility of the comprehensive application of interventional techniques including transjugular iliofemoral venous thrombectomy in treating acute or chronic iliofemoral venous thrombosis(IFVT).
　　Methods: This analysis included 22 patients with symptomatic IFVT. The duration of symptoms of IFVT is from 2days to 2months (2～10days, 15cases; 11days～1month, 3cases; 1～2months, 4cases). The angiography of iliac-femoral and popliteal vein was conducted via transjugular approach after the insertion of an inferior vena cava filter. Then transjugular iliofemoral venous thrombectomy was conducted after catheter-directed thrombolytic therapy. The local stenosis leisions were treated by percutaneous transluminal angioplasty and/or placement of endovascular stent.
　　Results: The veins got patent in 21 of 22 patients with IFVT. The technical success rate was 95.5% and clinical success rate was 100%. The primary and secondary patencies were 90.9% and 95.5% and PTS occurred in 4 patients in a follow-up of 3～53months(mean, 19.8±3.2months; median, 22months).
　　Conclusion: The comprehensive application of transjugular iliofemoral venous thrombectomy, PTA and catheter-directed thrombolytic therapy for the treatment of acute or chronic IFVT is a safe, effective and microinvasive method.
