CT and MRI Diagnosis of Cerebralventricular Tumors<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Abtract

Objective：To improve the preoperative diagnostic accuracy of cerebralventricular tumors by analyzing CT and MRI characteristic findings.

Methods：The CT and MRI manifestations of 39 cases of cerebralventricular tumors were reviewed retrospectively, all of the cases were proved by surgery and pathology.

Results：There were 10 kind of tumors in 39 cases, inclusive 9 cases were ependymomas, 7 cases were astrocytomas, 2 cases were meningiomas, choroids plexus papillomas and terato-dermold tumors in each one. 4 cases were medulloblastomas and Subependymal giant cell astrocytoma in each one.3 cases were craniopharyngioma, 5 cases were metastatic tumor and 1 cases was germinoma.

Conclusion：CT and MRI can accuratedly manifest the place and extent of disease of cerebralventricular tumors.
