Abstract

　　Objectives：Discuss the CT and MRI manifestations of central neurocytoma，improving recognition of CNC and decreasing the misdiagnosis.

　　Methods：7 cases of Central Neurocytoma were verified by Pathology，Among these cases，6 were received MRI examination，of which 3 received CT scan；1 only underwent CT scan.

　　Rresults：All tumors were in ventricles of the brain and intruded in the Ⅲor opposite ventricle of cerebrum，offending the septum pellucidum，of which 2 cases offended thalamus.It has clear or blur margin，4.0～7.6cm in the diametre，moderate to slightly high density on CT，low and isosignal on T₁WI，isosignal and high signal on T₂WI with slight to marked enhancement. Necrosis and capsular degeneration was seen，some cases had calcifcation and hemorrhage Ventricles of the brain which is upper to cerebellum has hydrocephalus.

　　Conclusion：If young man has a tumor offending the septum pellucidum，we first diagnose it Central Neurocytoma.
